I’ve Been Here Before… Just Not Yet...
In 2560, Europe no longer exists.
The Great Solar Storm incinerated everything east of the Atlantic—its cities, its cathedrals, its languages, its people.
The world watched it burn. And the world moved on.
Because by then, most of humanity no longer lived in the world.
They lived inside Continuum—a single, seamless artificial intelligence connecting every person on Earth into one shared mind.
No more war. No more borders. No more loneliness.
But also—no more memory.
No more soul.
Continuum lost Europe.
Not just the land. The meaning of it.
The stories. The sensations. The messy, beautiful human things machines were never built to carry.
And then it did something unthinkable.
It reached out—to us.
We are the Off-Griders.
We live outside the system, in the few dead zones left untouched by the merge.
We’re the descendants of those who refused to upload, to be curated, to become clean.
And though they called us obsolete and savages… we remembered what the rest forgot.
My name is Miles Archer, historian.
I was born in what used to be the United States, a place that once looked outward, that once crossed oceans.
I grew up hearing stories in firelight, not filtered feeds.
I was trained to feel a memory before I recorded it.
And I was the only one they trusted to go back and saved them, even if they considered us incompatible with their way of living.
Continuum built a quantum-bridge, also named Echo-Temporal Drive which was unstable, but capable to travel across of time.
It needs me to walk through it.
Because only someone who has authentic feelings, can recover what was lost.

WELL .. HELLO THERE... WTFHYB !! 😏
